We made it another week! I have overcome my crabbiness about still being pregnant and am focusing instead that I may have a baby with a few little rolls on his legs instead since he's 'cooking' still. I doubt I will have a chunky little guy; but you never know. Our family is full of 6-7 pound babies with long skinny legs! I feel pretty good though; other than the swollen feet and am not looking forward to the weekend with its 95 degree days. Oh well.
We are going to spend Sunday with my Dad--its his birthday. All he wants is a grandson. We'll see how we do pulling off that present! I told him he might have to wait for that. He's insistant it will happen on his birthday. We'll see.

Doctor's appt
So I had an appt today and learned that I am not going to be having another early baby. Apparently I need to just get that idea out of my head as this little man is in no hurry to come early like his sister did. He's just proving everyone right who told me not to get excited since my first one came early; they all said I'd end up waiting on the second one. I have no idea how those poor ladies who are overdue handle it; I think I would hurt someone. Overall, we both are doing good and other than my impatience, all is going well. Everyone's safe and healthy so that is what counts.

We have a garage?
Kudos to my cowboy who came home on Friday night and decided he had enough. He was sick of boxes and the mess in the basement and garage. The majority of the house has been unpacked for a while; the toyroom is done (except for the closet) and the remainder of the basement is sort of a hodge podge. We have unearthed some stuff; but its been on as needed basis. He has a tool room--a large tool room with work bench, etc. in there and its looking good! I pulled my vehicle into the garage today for the first time--bring on the hail (not really!) I didn't get to leave it in there; as the riding lawn mower and my car don't both fit yet--and someone's mower is till too new to leave outside ;) But I bet within a few days that they fit. So kudos to my wonderful hubby and who worked so hard this weekend!
Still. Pregnant.
So I am still pregnant. Sigh. I know I am only 37/38 weeks along and there are people out there who go to like 41 and have to be induced. I know I shouldn't whine. But I am going to! I had Paige at this point; so naturally I think this child should be the same. He's starting to upset me by not listening and he's not even here yet! Cowboy says its because boys take longer. I have an appt on Tuesday; we'll see what Dr. Wonderful says. Hopefully the next time I post will have baby pictures on it and not just fat ones of me :)

Last long weekend as a threesome
We were on our way home from Belle Fourche/Spearfish this afternoon from a wedding and I looked at Cowboy with a sense of realization. This was probably our last overnight trip out of town as a family of three! Why this struck me as odd; I don't know. I think its because we are getting out of my comfort zone of 3 people--its what I know!
We had been gone since Friday afternoon as Cowboy was in a wedding Saturday afternoon. We took the time to play in the hotel pool, buy some of the baby things we still needed, etc.
Miss Paige and her daddy. I don't really have one picture of her smiling this weekend and she was kind of a pill when the camera was around. She was a big daddys girl this weekend though. He however was in a full tuxedo for the first time in years--and it could be one of the few times I have seen him in one. Normally he has jeans and boots on with the jacket.
Isn't he cute? Looks kind of like that guy I met in high school.
Yes, I purposely cut Paige out of the picture as her scowl was too nasty!
We got home this afternoon and I started to sort of get some of the mess put away. I made Ryan bring up the rocker; and we put the Crystal cushions on it. It looks great and almost matches my couch. I have to do the ottoman; but I am very pleased with how it turned out. My garage sale find and my friend's very handy sewing skills created a good thing.
So baby blankets breed, did you know that? This is one of the shelves on my changing table and I swear the blankets are starting to multiply. We have some new ones for the new baby and there are a few of Paige's that aren't pink we will re-use. Not very many though--most were pink. We bought diapers today too--not an insane amount just a box to see if its the good kind. I bought the newborn ones--holy cow are they small. I am forgetting lots of things and it wasn't that long ago that Miss Paige was that little!

Is this considered nesting?
No photos, but I found myself cleaning the infant car seat base with some Q tips tonight getting the dust out of the creavices. I think I might be nesting. Or perhaps I am just trying to get the huge "to do" list worked on. The car seat has been washed, and now properly wiped down. I have baby clothes washed and in the dresser--which has been painted and is in the proper room. We need to buy a crib mattress this weekend and then we'll have a crib ready to go. I need a little more tweaking on the changing table and getting all the small stuff gathered and ready; but then we could have a baby and be ready. A few more weeks would be good--2 at least so we match the time of when we had Paige. But I am humoring the Cowboy who requested we at least gather a few things. I figure if I have things gathered; then the baby won't come too early :) Now if I just survive the weekend out of town at a wedding; we'll be in good shape!

Swingset
The long awaited swingset is complete! It took more than one afternoon as I had anticipated--I didn't realize that two huge instructions booklets and about 8,000 pieces would such a pain in the butt. I didn't even do anything other than observe either!
Cowboy, Grampa Greg and Gramma Shelly started working on it on Sunday and got the bulk of it done by that afternoon.
Paige showing me how big it is.
Cowboy then worked until dark on more of it and was about 80% done. It was complete last night and some little person came running up the yard yelling "Mom, get off my swing" as I was sitting on it visiting Ryan while he tweaked other pieces. She was getting dropped off and was super excited it was done.
