Christmas jammie pics

So of course I couldn't find a decent picture of all three of my kiddos so I finally found a few that weren't bad and scrounged up a Christmas card and got it ordered.  So tonight we took smiley jammie pics; and of course they would have been great.  Oh well, that's how it goes!

 

We made mini-gingerbread houses today--with homemade gingerbread and these little cutters.  Should have had stiffer icing but we still had fun.  Cooper just wanted to lick all the icing off of everything!

2 months old

So I have an upside down picture but lets focus on the more important thing of I took pictures and posted them!  She's the third kid--this is a great accomplishment:)

Miss K turned 2 months old today; its went fast.  Here is what she is up to:

• on her 8 week appointment (9-25) she weighed 11#01oz and was 23.5" long--60% for weight and 90% for height. 
• she has slept all night long for the past week or so. . .going to bed by 10 and sleeping until between 5-6.  Not sure how long this will go; but I will take it gladly!
• Starting to have lots of smiles. . .not for the camera though.
• Starting to really respond to voices and squeaky toys, likes to look at them and they hold her attention for a bit.
• Can sit in the Bumbo for a few minutes before she gets tired--she has great head and neck control but its pretty strenuous to hold it up for a long period.  By next month she will be hanging out in there a lot.
• Doesn't really like tummy time or bath time--likes the sound of the water running but cries more than not when she is being washed down.

Cooper is 3!

My baby boy was three on Sunday!  We had a dinosaur themed bbq with a few of our friends and he was so excited about this dinosaur cake for days--Mom had a lot to deliver when we started making the cake because I think we both would have cried had I messed it up.  But I am pleased to say it turned out wonderfully.  He got lots of dinosaur presents; and we had some dinosaur masks and inflatables for our party goers to play with.  Little boys love dinosaur masks!

August 6th, 9 days old

Kenzie Faith

She's finally here!  She arrived at 4:52 on Monday, July 29th.  Everyone is doing well and we are adjusting to being a family of 5.  The kiddos are in love with her and we have battles over holding her so far--Cooper wants to hold her and pet her hair!

Stuck?

The last week for me has been. . . .sitting around at home on Monday watching CNN and various channels to learn about the royal baby.  Tuesday, much the same as they went home.  I can't believe how riveting a pair of hospital doors can be--but I was sucked in.  Wednesday I went to the doctor and was told nothing was happening and I wouldn't be having a baby that day.  Pissed was the word of the day for that.  I was told I would be induced on Monday morning.  So Wed, Thurs. and Friday I spent parts of the day at work so as not to go crazy or to just continuing sitting at home hoping this kid would just fall out.  I think she is stuck :) 

Its Sunday afternoon right now and I feel like. . .crap is the best word.  I won't whine, but I am really hoping for only one more really sleepless night being pregnant--I can deal with getting up every 2 hours with an infant--there is something productive about that. . .for lack of a better word.

So Miss Pagel Baby #3--if you wanted to follow in the steps of your big brothers, you could come in the middle of the night and save Mommy the hassle/horror of being induced.  Its what he did; and it worked out well for all!

Kicks

Cooper decided to be patient and put his hands on my belly and see if he could feel the baby last night--not sure if he got to feel anything as he was pretty squirmy but it was a good try.  I'm not sure how much he understands; he knows there is a baby in my belly as he has one too--but he has a boy baby and Paige and mom have girl babies.  He loves to show his belly when we take pictures.

 

A summer Sunday

 I have an inner old woman who really wanted a clothesline in my backyard.  My dad doesn't understand why I would even want one but I just had to tell him it was the old lady in me to make him understand.  My boys this morning got it put up and its a thing of beauty with 4 new lines.  I haven't hung anything on it yet today as it was cool and sort of randomly rained but can't wait to sleep on sheets that smell like outside.  Nothing better.  Plus I will save my poor dryer some work on those cowboy jeans.

 Ryan's helper this morning--he was a busy boy for a good 2 hours just playing outside and helping Dad.  I didn't hear any cries or whines; just lots of little boy yelling and chasing the dog.

 

 

One of the first years I didn't partake in our float--and I missed bloody marys in my hula skirt.  I dropped Paige off so she could throw out candy--she's been on more floats than I can even remember--2 a year since she's been 2 I think.

 

Still no baby. . .sigh.

I am going to have seasoned riders in a few years  Paige is spoiled by going to the Mall of America every year and did not think the small rides we had were nearly cool enough.  Cooper thought they were good; and especially loved the giraffe on the carousel.   Cotton candy is a great think no matter where you get it!

Bear Country

We spent this last weekend in Spearfish/Rapid City and snuck in a quick trip to Bear County.  Last time we were there I was pregnant with Cooper about this same time of year ironically.  They have improved quite a few areas; and it was a nice sunny day but cool; so the animals were quite active.  We are a few weeks early to see lots of baby bears but there were 3 out and about.  The kids loved seeing the animals and it was a great place to stretch our legs and run after shopping and driving.

 Miss Paige the night of her school music concert; we all got to cram in the gym on the hottest day of the year so far.  The kids were cute and did a nice job.

Oh wait, lets lose another one!  She's officially toothless, and does have a little bit of trouble eating some things now as well as pronouncing a few words. 

 Sat morning we went to the bike path and there were two puddles; of course that was more entertaining that anything else. . .

Happy Mother's Day

I was given cards and gifts, taken out to brunch and got to see my own Mom today.  Its quiet and almost nap time to my tired out kiddos and I will say its been a lovely day so far.
