Bear Country

We spent this last weekend in Spearfish/Rapid City and snuck in a quick trip to Bear County.  Last time we were there I was pregnant with Cooper about this same time of year ironically.  They have improved quite a few areas; and it was a nice sunny day but cool; so the animals were quite active.  We are a few weeks early to see lots of baby bears but there were 3 out and about.  The kids loved seeing the animals and it was a great place to stretch our legs and run after shopping and driving.

Toothless

Miss Paige the night of her school music concert; we all got to cram in the gym on the hottest day of the year so far.  The kids were cute and did a nice job.

A close up to show the missing teeth--had 3 missing at this point.

Oh wait, lets lose another one!  She's officially toothless, and does have a little bit of trouble eating some things now as well as pronouncing a few words.

Sat morning we went to the bike path and there were two puddles; of course that was more entertaining that anything else. . .

except a giant tumbleweed.  Cooper thought it was awesome and tried to carry it around.

Happy Mother's Day

I was given cards and gifts, taken out to brunch and got to see my own Mom today.  Its quiet and almost nap time to my tired out kiddos and I will say its been a lovely day so far.

My firstborn at the park yesterday--its scary how big she is getting.

My son--a ball of energy--and hugs for Mom.  I'm his first love and relish that.

 Mom, kiddos and I

Toothless and pigtails--its a great combination

My favorite picture of my two kids to date--I was trying to get him to sit still so I could get a one year old picture and she just went and tried to hold him still.  Best picture ever.

Bull Sale

So another April weekend and another annual Stuber bull sale.  Kiddos and I went out mid morning so we could see Cowboy for a bit and eat lunch with him.  Kids were more enchanted by the empty ring and the shavings; so that occupied them for quite a bit.  Told them to take advantage of them before the bulls started going through and the chips got dirty.  Paige just looked at my not quite understanding; and then about 30 minutes into the sale she was holding her nose and understood what I was talking about.  We sat in the front row for about an hour and were about 2 feet from the bulls; so Cooper was enchanted.  The bull above is Ryan's bull which sold well--hard to take pictures with my cell phone and a squirmy Cooper but we got one.  Kiddos and I came home and took a nap and then Cowboy and I headed to the supper--my poor Cowboy was on the go from 5 am to about 7 when he came home and showered.  Poor tired guy.

32 and 26 weeks

I will admit I had a birthday on Thursday and turned, gulp, 32.  The more fun thing was I had Paige take a few belly pictures as we haven't taken any good ones--Ryan has a few on his cell phone but me in my sweats and glasses aren't something I want to look at frequently!  So the top two pictures are courtesy of Paige.  Cooper was showing off his baby as well.  Cowboy hasn't been around a lot the last few days as the bull sale is this weekend; but he did earn hubby points and sent me some flowers.  Kiddos and I went and ate supper out so I didn't have to cook and I received lots of nice flowers and cards.
